Bacău () is a county (județ) of Romania, in Moldavia, with its capital city at Bacău. It has one commune, Ghimeș-Făget, in Transylvania. ==Demographics== In October 20, 2011, it had a population of 616,168 and the population density was 93/km².〔 The ethnic breakdown was as follows:〔http://www.recensamantromania.ro/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Comunicat_DATE_PROVIZORII_RPL_2011.pdf〕 *Romanians – 96.1% *Hungarians/Csángós – 0.7% *Romani – 1.7%.
